So today I took the plunge and got my non-compliant tattoo! It’s from the comic Bitch Planet by Kelly Sue Deconnick, which I identified with since the moment I read it. A lot of people in my life have made me feel really shitty for being a girl and liking girly things because I don’t fit the standard feminine form, and this comic made me realize that the feminine form doesn’t have a standard, and that I should embrace who I am. This tattoo is my first step in accepting myself. I am a plus-size, stronger than an ox, nerdy feminist, and I am non-compliant.
